At age 14, Taylor and Jordan both had a crush on each other..but neither knew. 5 years later when the two were attending community college, they finally had their first conversation and Taylor invited Jordan to a New Years Eve party. After that night, they both knew they would be together. Soon they began dating and began their adventure.

Last Christmas, Taylor’s family went on a tropical vacation to Hawaii. She was excited, but Jordan remained on her mind. Within a week into the trip, her parents told her they needed to go to the airport to fix an issue with their tickets. When they arrived to the airport Jordan was there and surprised her! While enjoying the trip and talking and hanging out in the bungalow they were staying at, Jordan couldn’t think of a better time to ask Taylor to marry him. He got on one knee right there and asked Taylor to spend the rest of their lives together. She said yes!

On a sunny cool day in Houston, Texas, we set out for Taylor and Jordan’s engagement session. It couldn’t have been better weather!

We began their engagement session at the Houston Heights Firehouse where they will have their wedding this June!

Taylor has the biggest whitest smile that lights up when she looks at Jordan.

Laughs were a plenty as Jordan told Taylor inside jokes..he is a pretty funny guy!

The Heights area is so adorably cute!

Taylor…you are gorgeous! We stopped at The Honeymoon Cafe & Bar for their dark tones, marble table tops, and espresso.

Taylor wore a bracelet to the shoot that said “Yes”. At first, I thought it may be a symbol for their recent engagement…Taylor saying “yes” to Jordan’s proposal to be his wife. I soon found that the bracelet had a deeper meaning.

“Jordan’s cousin, Jamilyn Hull, was one of the most incredible Christ-followers you would ever meet. In her 26 years, she had traveled to serveral different countried as a missionary to speread the message of Jesus, worked with hundreds of different people to share the gospel, and lived out every single on of her days saying “Yes” to God.  In June 2015, her life was taken in a tragic car accident. The bracelet is a daily reminder to say yes to whatever God asks of us whenever he chooses to ask it. “We Saw Yes, Period.””-Taylor

Jordan and Taylor plan to live loud, always saying yes to whatever God has planned for their lives…together.

Both Taylor and Jordan grew up in Houston, TX.

Taylor’s beautiful laugh is contagious! I loved the colors we found while in Downtown Houston.

Taylor and Jordan, I can not thank you enough for choosing me as your engagement and wedding photographer. I cannot wait to tell more of your story through your images!
