Drew met Davya near the turn of the millennium at Sleepy Hollow Elementary. They were both young, bright, starry-eyed, and recently moved into the area. Drew, feeling that Davya and him could really connect over their mutual experiences being “new kids”, drummed up some courage and asked the girl to go steady. That didn’t seem like a square deal to Davya, so she declined.
11 years later in the famous Texas town of Lubbock, their passed crossed again, destined to be intermingled at last. Drew ran into Davya at a tailgate party and immediately went to work putting on the moves. They ended up conversing through the night, allowing Drew to seal the deal within weeks. After a few months, they were in love! They spent the early part of their relationship supporting each other through college, and together the graduated at Texas Tech. After graduation, they relocated to Midland, TX.
In April 2016, Davya and Drew took a vacation to Charlston, SC. On a particularly beautiful East Coast evening, our couple went on a walk to view the epic Ravenel Bridge. It was there, where Drew got down on one knee and asked Davya to spend the rest of their lives together in marriage. She said yes!!
Davya and Drew were wed at The Inn at Wild Rose Hall in Austin, Texas in September. They had a beautiful sunlit ceremony with heartfelt moments throughout. The night ended outside under a dance floor of twinkling lights with a rendition of Billy Joel’s “Piano Man”, the wedding party all singing at the top of their lungs.
Thank you, Davya and Drew, for giving us the opportunity to photograph your amazing day. We wish you all the best and a happy life together!
