Ashley was waiting for her “prince”, but as time went on she was disappointed. As she prayed, she soon felt hope and grew a heart of patience. It was shortly after this epiphany that Ashley met Alin. While attending the University of Oklahoma, Ashley came home to Houston for Christmas and was introduced to Alin. They had an instant connection and she knew she could not go back to Oklahoma without getting to know him. 

They happened to have a lot in common, both attending the same church, had the same friend group, and even the same Romanian culture. Ashley and Alin felt “at home” with each other, and began a long distance relationship.

Fast forward to a family vacation in breathtaking Estes Park, Colorado, Alin and Ashley climbed to the top of a boulder overlooking the earth below. Ashley was so distracted by the beautiful landscape that she almost failed to notice Alin was on one knee with the most beautiful rind in his hand. He said, “Ashley, God has taken us this far, and I want him to take us into forever more. I love you. Will you marry me?”. Ashley said YES! 

Alin and Ashley married at Crystal Springs in Magnolia, Texas. They promised each other to continue their love not by way of mere words, but actions. It was a gorgeous day full of their Romanian culture and touches of Ashley’s style, but what mattered more was their simple promise to remain at each other’s’ sides. Forever.
