It may have literally been love at first sight…Johnie and Shelbi met first when he stopped her at a local restaurant in Shelbi’s hometown of Lake Jackson, Texas. He was captivated by her golden blonde hair and radiant blue eyes and immediately asked for her phone number. Soon after their meeting, Shelbi was visiting family in Fredericksburg, Texas. Meanwhile, Johnie could not keep Shelbi off of his mind, He wanted to be with her and ask her out. Johnie called her and drove the 5 hours up to Fredericksburg to take Shelbi out on a first date. The two were smitten with each other, and soon began dating.
A few months later, one of Shelbi’s favorite bands, The Randy Rogers Band was performing at a local fair. Johnie knew she would love the concert and got them two front row VIP tickets. While Shelbi was enjoying the music, her favorite love song started being played. Without time for Shelbi to even realize what was happening next to her, Johnie got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Shelbi was so surprised and ecstatically and whole-heartedly said YES!
Shelbi and Johnie made a weekend trip to the Hill Country to visit some of her family and take their engagement photos with me! Shelbi and Johnie, thank you so much for coming to this beautiful place to take your portraits with me! I loved hanging out with you both and cannot wait to photograph your wedding day!

The two are expecting a little one later this Spring! They can not wait for their journey ahead.
I loved both of the couple’s outfit choices! White on white and color on color!
Johnie led his future bride with ease the whole time, holding her hand and gently making sure her path was smooth.
We talked about Shelbi’s amazing blue eyes right….lets talk about them again!!
Just gorgeous. We had a lovely location on the Blanco River. The river suffered two floods last year, but is persevering and I think more beautiful than ever…just like good love!
The evening sun shined bright upon this couple….I was trying my best to contain myself.
Close to the end I asked the couple to “sway/dance” they knew exactly what I meant even though I was talking gibberish.
The weather could not have been any more perfect. Sunny, warm, and in February. Thats Texas!
Shelbi and Johnie I wish you both the best at planning your big day! Until I see you again on your wedding day! XOX Kelly
