He waited for her, and now with her hand in his, they begin their journey together.
For years, Michael pursued Carly but with distance and a time zones between them, Carly was hesitant to begin a dating relationship. The two remained friends and realized that there was a spark between them… but they both waited for the right time. After Michael moved back to Texas, the two realized that they never wanted to spend another second without each other… regardless of timezones.
Last summer Carly took a plane to spend time with Michael and his family in Missouri. After a lost bag and a late flight, Carly had no idea that that day was going to turn into the best day of her life. He was going to wait till dinner, but knew this would be the perfect moment… right after she got her plane, Michael got down on one knee and asked Carly to marry him. She said yes!
On a warm sunny day in their hometown, family, friends, and loved ones who share their happiness and love surrounded Carly and Michael in the chapel where they said their “I DO’s”. The night was spent celebrating two amazing people finally becoming one, even if everyone realized their oneness a long time ago!
Carly and Michael, thank you so much for trusting me as your photographer for your first day as husband and wife. You two glow in each other’s presence and reminded all of us that wonderful things can come to those who wait and hold to hope. XOXO, Kelly
