October gives me the chills…or at least I want it to. In October, I love watching a good spooky movie and scrolling through an old Martha Stewart Halloween Magazine at my parent’s. With all the driving to shoots we do, I decided to pick up a couple of spooky books to read. I even picked up the habit of being Ryan’s personal audio book-it makes the drive go so much faster!
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn was everything I had hoped it would be. It was full of “edge of your seat/can’t put it down moments” all while wondering what happened to the missing Amy. The dark book centers around Amy’s mysterious disappearance, and her husband is the main suspect. It read so well and was so twisted, I oddly enough…loved it! Tip: I would not give this book as a Christmas present to your 6th grade niece.
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins brought back my Nancy Drew obsessed days. Both my mom and grandmother had read it, so I had to pick it up as well. It keeps you waiting a little, and then all of a sudden..boom! I’ve heard rumors of a movie next year.
