They both happened to be in working a music festival near Toronto. Matt walked into the production office Katie was in and asked for a much needed ride to an artist merchandise tent. Katie thinking Matt was cute, happily offered to drive him. Matt thought at first that she was Canadian, but learned that they were both from Nashville and even shared friends and favorite restaurants. When the two returned backstage, Matt told Katie that she was beautiful, but they didn’t have the chance to exchange numbers.
Katie went back to work in Nashville but couldn’t get the mystery man out of her mind. She decided to carefully craft a text message to one of their mutual friends that suggested she may be interested in a date with Matt. Matt reached out right away and the two had their very first date. They have been inseparable ever since.
On a sunny April day, Matt and Katie’s families gathered in Galveston, Texas to see the couple promise each other forever. Matt’s family is from Corpus Christi and Katie’s family is from Orange, Texas so Galveston, Texas was a great halfway point for their wedding. Katie’s granddad collected model trains and even had the Santa Fe train which is featured at the Galveston Railroad Museum. It was truly the perfect venue for them. Matt and Katie are the sweetest couple, the venue was filled to the brim with family and friends who traveled from near and far for their big day-you could tell how much this couple is loved and cared about.
Katie and Matt thank you so much f for having me as your wedding photographer. I had a great time and we wish you all the happiest of days together!
